Governance and compliance at Fedgroup
Fedgroup maintains a vigorous corporate governance structure. This governance structure finds its efficacy through our board of directors, our various subcommittees, management forums, the appointment of an independent internal auditor and other independent assurance providers. Fedgroup’s strong corporate governance structure ensures that we develop a culture of proactive behaviour rather than a reactive culture.
Our Board is supported by an Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee, a Remuneration, Nomination and Governance Committee, a Social and Ethics Committee, and an Investment Committee. Each of these committees is chaired by an independent member of the Board, providing strong and objective oversight that reinforces sound governance practices across the organisation. The Combined Assurance Committee oversees a range of risk-related matters, including IT governance and cybersecurity, as well as Treating Customers Fairly and complaints management, ensuring that emerging risks are identified and managed effectively.

Oversight and accountability
Our Board of Directors
Fedgroup’s board of directors is committed to openness, integrity and accountability, ensuring high standards of corporate governance in line with best practice. The Board, which includes independent members, applies the Prudential Standard on Governance of Insurers (GOI2) and supports the principles of King V and compliance with the Companies Act, 2008. Ongoing efforts are made to strengthen controls and manage the business ethically within sound risk parameters.
